STEPANAKERT, 21 MAY, ARTSAKHPRESS: As the correspondent of «Artsakhpress» reported, this was mentioned in the speech of Arayik Harutyunyan during the special session of the National Assembly dedicated to the inauguration of the newly elected fourth President of Artsakh Republic.
According to him, Armenian generations were educated and brought up by the first school founded by Mesrop Mashtots in the Artsakhi part of Mets Hayq and by the light of faith spread by St. Grigoris. The newly elected president does not consider Artsakh being one of the most famous centers of Armenian education for centuries accidental but also one of the impregnable fortresses with its natural and man-made protective structures during danger and the courage of its fighters and the patriotism of the royal families. And during the crises of the national state, Artsakhi population was able to keep the national government and identity for centuries from Vachagan Barepasht and Aranshahik to the kingdoms of Khamsa.
“Therefore, national and state thinking has always had a special place in the mentality of Artsakhi Armenians. At the beginning of the twentieth century, the Armenian nation regained its strength after the tragedy of the Armenian Genocide to rise again, to overcome the hardship after centuries of deprivation and to re-establish a national independence in glorious May. Even then, the path of the Armenians was not smooth again including the same in Artsakh where particularly the Armenians of Shushi faced Genocide. Artsakh was distorted and divided over the next seventy years under the pressure of Soviet Azerbaijan. At the end of the twentieth century the Azerbaijani government started its last step – the complete and final depopulation of Artsakh following the example of ancient Armenian Nakhichevan”, – A. Harutyunyan noted.
According to him, the Armenians of Artsakh stood up to prevent the new Genocide with the unconditional and devoted support of all Armenians. A. Harutyunyan emphasizes: the Artsakh movement was a nationwide awakening, the Artsakh movement was going to ruin the image of the victim and to create its own destiny with its own hands. It was a struggle for national dignity and for the noble cause of the protection of fundamental human rights and freedoms.
“It was a struggle for the lives of thousands, for the rights of millions to live in freedom and dignity. It was one of the glorious victorious pages of the Armenian people, the crowning glory of which was the liberation of Shushi. And we feel the daily joy of that freedom with the inviolable and united connection with the motherland, with the Armenian soldiers who keep the borders inviolable, with the strong revived relations with our sisters and brothers in the Diaspora. It is the message of freedom and peace that we all send today to the Armenians and the world from our historic fortress Shushi. Winning the patriotic war imposed on us with honor and victory, we have overcome difficult and complicated challenges on the way to our statehood” – A. Harutyunyan added.
At the same time, the newly elected president noted that this twenty-six-post war years was a war after the war, it was a war to exclude war. Restoration of the completely ruined economy in the conditions of darkness, famine and destroyed infrastructures is a new war, which, according to A. Harutyunyan, is not over yet.
The newly elected president also noted that in the significant success recorded during the rule of President Bako Sahakyan he had had the opportunity to make his modest contribution to for more than a decade. In this regard, A. Harutyunyan expressed his deep gratitude to President Sahakyan for his great services to the homeland and the opportunity he was given in that work.
“I really consider this period to be the most prosperous period in the history of Artsakh. Of course, I am grateful to all the state and national figures, all patriotic people and organizations who have made the smallest contribution to the state building and victories of Artsakh, Mother Armenia and the Diaspora”- A. Harutyunyan said.
Students and lecturers of Shushi University of Technology congratulate Mr. Arayik Harutyunyan on assuming the post of President of the Republic of Artsakh.

ՍՏԵՓԱՆԱԿԵՐՏ, 21 մայիսի, ԱՐՑԱԽՊՐԵՍ։ «Արցախպրես»-ի թղթակցի հաղորդմամբ՝ այս մասին այսօր կայացած ԱՀ Նախագահի պաշտոնի ստանձնմանը նվիրված Ազգային ժողովի հատուկ նիստին ասել է ԱՀ նորընտիր նախագահ Արայիկ Հարությունյանը:
Նրա խոսքով՝ Մեծ Հայքի արցախյան հատվածում Մաշտոցի հիմնած առաջին դպրոցի և Սուրբ Գրիգորիսի տարածած հավատի լույսով կրթվել և դաստիարակվել են հայոց սերունդները: Նորընտիր նախագահը պատահական չի համարում, որ Արցախը դարեր շարունակ եղել է հայ դպրության և հոգևոր նշանավոր կենտրոններից, իսկ վտանգի պահին՝ անառիկ ամրոցներից մեկը՝ իր բնական ու մարդակերտ ամրություններով, իր մարտիկների քաջությամբ ու իշխանական տների հայրենապաշտությամբ: Իսկ ազգային պետության ճգնաժամերի ժամանակ արցախահայությունը դարեր շարունակ կարողացել է պահել ազգային իշխանապետությունը և ինքնությունը՝ Վաչագան Բարեպաշտից ու Առանշահիկներից մինչև Խամսայի մելիքություններ:
«Ուստի, արցախահայության հոգեկերտվածքում միշտ իր ուրույն տեղն է ունեցել ազգային ու պետական մտածողությունը: Քսաներորդ դարասկզբին հայոց ցեղասպանության արհավիրքից հայ ազգը վերստին ուժ գտավ վեր հառնելու, դարավոր զրկանքներից հետո մեջքը ուղղելու և կրկին հաղթական մայիսին հիմնելու ազգային պետականություն: Նույնիսկ այդ ժամանակ նորից հարթ չէր հայության ճամփան, ներառյալ՝ Արցախում, որտեղ հատկապես Շուշիի հայությունը առերեսվեց ցեղասպանական գործողությունների: Արցախը խեղվեց ու մասնատվեց նաև հետագա յոթանասուն տարիների ընթացքում՝ խորհրդային Ադրբեջանի բռնաճնշումների ներքո: Քսաներորդ դարավերջին մնում էր վերջին քայլը՝ հինավուրց հայկական Նախիջևանի օրինակով Արցախի ամբողջական ու վերջնական հայաթափումը»,- նշել է Ա.Հարությունյանը:
Նրա խոսքով՝ նոր ցեղասպանությունը կանխելու համար ոտքի կանգնեց արցախահայությունը՝ թիկունքում ունենալով համայն հայության անվերապահ ու անմնացորդ աջակցությունը: Ա. Հարությունյանն ընդգծում է՝ Արցախյան շարժումը համազգային զարթոնք էր, Արցախյան շարժումը հայտ էր թոթափելու զոհի կերպարը և սեփական ձեռքերով կերտելու սեփական ճակատագիրը, Արցախյան շարժումը վճռական հաստատումն էր առ այն, որ հայը այլևս վստահ է իր ոտքերի վրա և ապավինում է սեփական բազկին ու ոգուն, Արցախյան շարժումը պայքար էր ազգային արժանապատվության և մարդու հիմնարար իրավունքների ու ազատությունների պաշտպանության վեհ գործի համար:
«Դա հազարավորների կյանքի գնով պայքար էր՝ հանուն միլիոնավորների ազատ ու արժանապատիվ կյանքի իրավունքի: Դա հայ ժողովրդի երբևէ ունեցած փառավոր հաղթական էջերից մեկն էր, որի լուսապսակը դարձավ Շուշիի ազատագրման գործողությունը: Եվ այդ ազատության ամենօրյա բերկրանքը մենք զգում ենք մայր հայրենիքի հետ անխախտ ու միասնական կապով, սահմանները անառիկ պահող հայ զինվորներով, Սփյուռքի մեր քույրերի և եղբայրների հետ վերականգնված ամուր հարաբերություններով: Դա ազատության և խաղաղության ուղերձն է, որ այսօր բոլորս միասին հայությանն ու աշխարհին ենք հղում մեր պատմական բերդաքաղաքից: Պատվով ու հաղթանակով դուրս գալով մեզ պարտադրված հայրենական պատերազմից՝ պետականության կերտման ճանապարհին բարդ ու դժվարին մարտահրավերներ ենք հաղթահարել»,- ավելացրել է Ա. Հարությունյանը:
Նորընտիր նախագահը միաժամանակ նշել է, որ այդ քսանվեցամյա ընթացքը պատերազմ էր պատերազմից հետո, այն պատերազմ էր պատերազմի բացառման նպատակով: Հիմնահատակ քայքայված տնտեսության վերականգնումը, մթության, սովի ու ավերված ենթակառուցվածքների պայմաններում, նոր պատերազմ է իրենից ներկայացնում, որը, ըստ Ա. Հարությունյանի, դեռևս չի ավարտվել ամբողջովին:
Նորընտիր նախագահը արձանագրում է նաև նշանակալի այն հաջողությունները, որոնց գրանցման գործում ավելի քան մեկ տասնամյակ, Նախագահ Բակո Սահակյանի գլխավորությամբ, ինքը ունեցել է իր համեստ ներդրումը բերելու հնարավորությունը: Այդ առթիվ Ա. Հարությունյանն իր խորին երախտագիտությունն է հայտնել Նախագահ Սահակյանին՝ հայրենիքին մատուցած մեծ ծառայությունների և հետևողական աշխատանքի ու իրեն այդ գործում տրված հնարավորության համար:
«Այդ ժամանակահատվածը ես, հիրավի, համարում եմ Արցախի պատմության ամենածաղկուն շրջանը: Անշուշտ, շնորհակալ եմ նաև Արցախի պետականաշինության ու հաղթանակների կերտման գործում ամենափոքր ներդրումն իսկ ունեցած բոլոր պետական ու ազգային գործիչներին, բոլոր հայրենանվեր անձանց ու կազմակերպություններին՝ Արցախում, Մայր Հայաստանում և Սփյուռքում»,- ընդգծել է Ա. Հարությունյանը:
Շուշիի տեխնոլոգիական համալսարանի ուսանողներն ու դասախոսները շնորհավորում են պարոն Արայիկ Հարությունյանին ԱՀ նախագահի պաշտոնը ստանձնելու կապակցությամբ։
