A lesson of sculpture has been organized on the initiative of the head of the Department of “Clothing Design and Modeling” of Shushi University of Technology Yuri Hovhannisyan.
Sculpture is a type of fine art where the images are made in three-dimensional incarnations. The sculpture is usually made of clay. According to Y. Hovhannisyan, the aim of the lesson was to acquaint the students with the skills and techniques of working with clay. “Students are dealing with clay for the first time. Sculpture as a subject is very important for a designer’s spatial thinking”-he said.
Sculpture stimulates students’ imagination, develops a sense of volume and helps to form an idea in the choice of imaginary theme.
