The First Pushkin Festival of Artsakh took place in Stepanakert on the International Day of the Russian Language, June 6. Shushi University of Technology also participated in the festival together with other educational institutions of the Artsakh Republic.
President of the Armenian Association of Teachers of Russian Language and Literature Lilia Balasanyan welcomed the participants of the festival with a video call noting that the event would become traditional.
The works of great Russian writer Alexander Pushkin were presented to the audience by lecturers, students, teachers and pupils. Lecturer Zoya Osipova from the university performed the poem “Black scarf” and student Garik Gorgyan performed the play “Mozart and Salieri”.
The Pushkin Festival was organized by the Department of Russian Language Affairs of President Office of the Artsakh Republic. It encouraged participants with certificates and gifts. Representatives of the parliament and the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports were also present at the event.
