The new academic year has started today on September 1 at Shushi University of Technology. The day was marked by the lesson of courage which has become a tradition, conducted by the Deputy Head of the Department of Moral and Psychological Support of the Armed Forces, Lt. Col. Mher Danielyan and the Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Artsakh Mikayel Hambardzumyan. The attendees honored the memory of the brave soldiers who were martyred for the motherland with a minute of silence.
Emphasizing the role of education in ensuring the security of the country, M. Danielyan noted: “The lesson of courage held on the Day of Knowledge and Education is the proof that independence is an absolute value for us and the citizen of our country with knowledge has a key role in keeping and strengthening of it”.
On the occasion of the new academic year and the Day of Knowledge and Education, Rector of the university Nver Mikayelyan congratulated the students: “The future opens before you with its many possibilities, and I am more than sure that each of you will reach and move towards knowledge with great enthusiasm. I wish you a path full of ups and downs in this complex but interesting learning process”- said N. Mikayelyan wishing the university students good luck.
The freshmen were warmly welcomed by the members of the Student Council who showed a film on the teaching process, scientific activities and features of student life at the university.
