Shushi University of Technology has hosted director of “Tufenkian” charitable foundation Greg Bedian and advisor to the State Minister of the Republic of Artsakh, coordinator of the Monitoring Department of Humanitarian and Program Development Hagop Ipdjian today on November 7.
The main purpose of the visit has been to organize lectures on agriculture in rural schools which should promote the development of agricultural production.
Rector Nver Mikayelyan and academic staff of the university have taken part in the meeting where university issues have been discussed as well as the perspectives of implementation of various programs in Artsakh.
Welcoming the programs of “Tufenkian” charitable foundation in the field of agriculture, Candidate of Agricultural Sciences, Associate Professor Saribek Galstyan has noted: “The teachers really need to explain at schools the important role agriculture plays in the development of the country’s economy because it is one of the most important sectors that provide employment and determine the general living standard of the population”.
