Today, on May 22, an intra-university intellectual game competition was held at SHUT among first-year students of the secondary vocational education system in the disciplines of Biology and Botany. The initiators of the game were lecturer Mary Harutyunyan and first-year student of secondary vocational education Nadia Davtyan.
“Since the International Plant Health Day is celebrated on May 12 and, in a broad sense, these two disciplines include plant anatomy, we have tried to stimulate the interest of students and consolidate the acquired knowledge once again,” M. Harutyunyan said.
Five teams took part in the competition: “Flora”, “Fauna”, “Rhododendron”, “DNA” and “i-RNA”.Each team had 6 participants. The game consisted of three rounds, during which 30 questions were asked.
According to the jury, which included the vice-rector for Educational and Scientific work Roza Avagyan and lecturers of the Department, according to the sum of points scored in 3 rounds, the first prize was taken by the team “Fauna”, the second place was taken by the team “Rhododendron”, and the third place was taken by the team “Flora”.
