Shushi University of Technology was formed on December 28 of 2015, which also included the Chair of “Information Technologies and Natural Sciences”.
The chair served the university in all subjects of mathematics, physics, chemistry, information technology, and the annual workload in 2016-2021 always exceeded 20,000 hours, and was one of the departments with the largest number of hours in the university.
In 2016-2021, M. Petrosyan (physics) and N. Farsiyan (chemistry), among the chair’s lecturers, defended their candidate theses, and in 2019, R. Harutyunyan, acting head of the chair, was awarded the title of honorary professor.
It was the issuing chair for “Information Technologies” and “Computer Engineering” specialties.
The department has developed the educational programs of the “Information Technologies” specialty for bachelor’s and master’s degrees and has produced specialists for 5 years of master’s degree and 2 years of bachelor’s degree.
In 2021, the Department of “Natural Sciences, Communication Means, Information Technologies” was formed on the foundation of the chair. 39 full-time and part-time lecturers work in the department.
