The students and faculty of Shushi University of Technology headed by Rector Nver Mikayelyan participated in the memorial ceremony for the martyred heroes of the 44-day war in Saint Hakob Cathedral of Stepanakert dedicated to the second anniversary of the 44-day Artsakh war.
After a minute of silence and under the ringing of cathedral bells, the university students took part in a cross procession the participants of which walked through the central streets of the capital towards the memorial complex holding in their hands the pictures of heroes.
University students took part in the blessing ceremony of the “Luso Khoran” memorial in the military pantheon and paid tribute to the memory of martyrs.
As a result of the war unleashed by Azerbaijan on September 27, 2020, 54 students of Shushi University of Technology sacrificed their lives for the freedom of Artsakh. “Our heroes went to military service with the utmost sense of duty and stood steadfastly in the defense of motherland. Our brave men proved it with their bravery and strong will,”- Vice-rector of Academic affairs of the university Roza Avagyan said.
