Faculty of Agriculture was formed from the first days of Shushi University of Technology establishment (2016) , the first dean of which was associate professor Saribek Bardughi Galstyan.
Since 2018, the dean of the faculty is candidate of agricultural sciences, associate professor Armanush Alexander Arakelyan.
The mission of the faculty is to prepare for the challenges of the labor market and international quality, competitive and practical with a two-level educational system in accordance with the standards capable professionals in the field of agriculture as well as in those fields provides and provides professional advice to the public trainings.
The dean’s office of the faculty organizes the educational process works in 4 specialties, 8 educational programs: bachelor’s and in magistracy. Secondary professional education programs are also implemented in the faculty.
The faculty is guided by student-centered approaches to education and encourages extracurricular learning, credible and end-to-end assessment. The selection of topics for final theses and master’s theses is underway in order to ensure their applicability in production. Masters students are involved in the field of agriculture to lead the research work leading researchers. During the training years, future specialists will study modern subjects, will be involved in the student scientific society, will participate in university and to international student conferences, and will be fully at the time of graduation in the competitive labor market, occupying responsible positions in the republic in the economic entities of the agro-food system, different from the national economy organizations, banking and tax systems. And in the master’s degree? Master’s students will continue to acquire theoretical and practical knowledge involvement in scientific and research activities. Master’s degree most of the graduates go on to effective scientific and educational activities, their great part works and teaches at the university.
The faculty regularly organizes open classes for production representatives, with recognized scientists of the field, foreign partners.
The professors and students of the faculty make regular presentations events, conferences, seminars organized in different universities, to discussions.
The vision of the faculty is to make the faculty cutting edge in its mission areas a higher educational unit that provides knowledge and conducts research, ensuring the use of modern information technologies in educational and research in processes.
